Part Two from the Live Stream Archive launches at 8:00 PM Central Time (US and Canada) Tuesday, December 7.
To express our gratitude and also honor the legacy of R. Murray Schafer (1933-2021), we are releasing the both parts of the World Listening Project’s 24-hours live stream archive. Over 14 hours of sound and video, from more than a hundred contributors and participants in World Listening Day 2021.
Produced by the World Listening Project in association with WGXC Wave Farm, NAISA Radio, and World Forum for Acoustic Ecology, contributions include soundscape compositions and field recordings by nearly 80 well-known and not-so-well-known creators, including Darren Copeland, Jana Winderen, Matthew Burtner, Adriana Sá, Pheobe riley Law, Zach Poff, Nathan Wolek, Ikponmwosa Osamuyime Avan-Nomayo, Charlie Fox, Ingeborg Entrop, a “Meditation On Silence” with R. Murray Schafer, to name only a few.
Many thanks are owed to Peter Courtemanche, Darren Copeland, Raquel Castro, and the many others who volunteered their time and talents to make World Listening Day 2021 a success!
Please listen and consider donating to the World Listening Project so that we may continue to make a positive impact in these challenging times. Thank you!
